| Travel directions by road: | Coming from Plymouth direction (A390) On the outskirts of St Austell, afterpassing through St Blazey and down a long hill, pass 'Brittania Inn' on your left and go straight across the next roundabout (turning left would take you to PAR). At the first set of traffic lights turn right on to the North Distributor Road, signposted to Bodmin and Bugle and proceed up the hill. At the 3rd roundabout, turn left, signposted Carclaze 1/4 mile, down a steep hill passing Carclaze Infant School on your right. Proceed straight over the traffic lights and along Tregonissey Road. Continue along Tregonissey Road until you reach the William Cookworthy on your right. The main entrance to site is then the second turning on your right. Coming from Truro direction (A390) You will enter St. Austell down a hill and arrive at a double roundabout, turn left and follow the road up the hill. Continue straight across a mini-roundabout and follow the road, passing 'LIDL Superstore' on your left and until you reach another mini-roundabout. At the mini-roundabout at the top of the hill turn left and continue 100m or so to the next mini-roundabout. At this mini-roundabout turn right and continue past St Austell Library until you reach another mini-roundabout. Turn left and continue up the hill to yet another mini-roundabout. Taking a right at this roundabout brings you onto Tregonissey Road and you will find the main entrance to John Keay House on the left-hand-side shortly after a marked layby. There will be signs to direct you to the appropriate parking area. You may like to refer to a detailed map of parking areas. |
